Dad's a loser?

A few years from now our children will be reading our facebook statuses and tweets. They will either think "my dad / mom was such a loser" or "wow he/she had the time of his/her life.

I love Grass

No not that kind of grass. I googled grass and youtube wanted to show me a video titled "The history of Marijuana". Although I have never smoked pot I once dreamt I was high. I was laughing througout the whole dream.

Okay back to "I love grass." I love the smell of freshly cut lawn.

I have Fridays off, so I normally spent some time mowing the lawn for the weekend. I love waking up on a Saturday morning to this sight - bliss.

I am a Lent virgin

This will be my first year to celebrate the season of Lent

Yesterday was Ash Wednesday, the first day in the season Lent.

Wikipedia defines Lent as: "the period of the liturgical year from Ash Wednesday to Easter. Lent is a time of sacrifice for Jesus. The traditional purpose of Lent is the preparation of the believer — through prayer, repentance, almsgiving and self-denial..."

Lent originated in the early church as a time of preparation for Easter. For forty days, Christians would pray and fast, just as Jesus did when he spent forty days in the wilderness.
